On Thursday, I had an amazing time at this Diwali Festival in Brooklyn. This Hindu community center opens its doors every Wednesday, Sunday and on special occasions like Diwali to all. During this festive celebration, stories were told from Hindu scripture, songs and drumming filled the room, a delicious feast was shared and smiles were exchanged each place you looked. One of my most favorite parts was the GIANT mountain of sweet treats in the middle of the room blessed and shared at the end of the evening. Definitely went home with a satisfied sweet tooth and a happy belly ache!
